Egypt Highlights |
Day 01 – Arrive Cairo |
Arrive Cairo where you will be met by our representative who will help you with your immigration and customs formalities. Later you will be transferred to your hotel, for overnight. |
Day 02 – Pyramids of Giza – Egyptian Museum – Khan El Khalili Bazaars |
Breakfast, and then start your tour visiting the pyramids of Giza. Cheops pyramid, the largest of the three, was built in the 3rd dynasty about 2690 B.C., and is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. In front of the pyramids of Chephren, we find the sphinx carved from a single piece of stone, it is a lion with a pharaoh’s head thought to be a portrait of the pharaoh Chephren. Have a camel ride by the pyramids area and visit the Papyrus Institution. P.M. drive to the Egyptian Museum famous for its antiquities from Egypt’s Pharaonic period, which dates back some 50 centuries and includes the fabulous treasures of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. Followed by a visit to the Medieval Bazaars of Khan-El-Khalili. Afterward transfer to the railway station for your train to Luxor. Overnight the train. |
Day 03 – Luxor – Embark Cruise Ship |
Arrive Luxo, upon arrival at Luxor railway you will be met and transferred to embark your deluxe cruise. Lunch then visit the temple of Karnak, which took over 1500 years to build and is considered the world’s largest religious complex. Then a visit to the temple of Luxor, which was started by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramses II. Dinner and overnight on board your cruise ship. (B, L, D) |
Day 04 – Nile Cruise |
Breakfasts, then cross to the west bank of the Nile to visit the Necropolis of Ancient Thebes. Explore the valley of Kings and Queens where tombs of 64 pharos and 57 queens have been discovered, and enter some of the most remarkable burials. Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari and Colossi of Memnon. Lunch, sail to Esna. Cross the lock. Continue to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board your cruise ship. (B, L, D) |
Day 05 – Nile Cruise |
Breakfast, and then visit the temple of Horus in Edfu (237 BC), the best-preserved Egyptian temple in existence. Lunch, Sail to Kom-Ombo. Visit the Temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board your cruise ship. (B, L, D) |
Day 06 – Nile Cruise |
Breakfast, and then visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries, the Unfinished Obelisk the Philae Temple. Lunch and then visit the botanical gardens and view of the Agha Khan Mausoleum by Felucca. Dinner and overnight on board your cruise ship. (B, L, D) |
Day 07 – Disembark Cruise Ship – Cairo |
Breakfast, and then disembark your cruise ship. Free time at leisure (Abu-Simbel optional tour and flight with sightseeing is available), then you will be met and transferred to Aswan railway station for train to Cairo. Overnight the train. |
Day 08 – Depart Cairo |
Arrive Cairo, upon arrival at Cairo railway station you will be met and transferred your Hotel. Free day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. |
Day 09 – Depart Cairo |
Breakfast, then you will be met by our representative and transferred to Cairo airport, and helped through your check-in and immigration formalities for your international flight back. (B) |
